Fried Sweet Potato Balls ขนมไข่นกกระทา - Episode 66


Sweet Potato Balls are a delicious snack or dessert that can be found throughout Thailand, and most of Southeast Asia. Sweet Potato Balls are easy to make since there is really only a handful of ingredients involved. Sweet potato is the hero of this recipe, but you could just as easily swap the sweet potatoes out with your favorite starchy vegetable. For example, taro, corn, parsnips, squash, or yams would all be great alternatives. These kind of remind me of eating a doughnut-hole, they are round, small, sweet, and you just can't get enough of them. Give this simple recipe a try, but be careful with the amount of flour you put it. At first it might not seem like enough, and you might be tempted to add more, but stick to the recipe. Too much flour will make these tasteless and hard.
