Coffee Jelly วุ้นกาแฟ is a sort of like Coffee Jello. But Coffee Jelly uses agar-agar powder instead of gelatin as a thickening agent. Unlike gelatin, agar-agar powder is plant based, and the preferred thickening agent for vegetarians. Also, agar-agar powder sets within minutes as opposed to hours when cooled. Which means you can do cool things with agar-agar powder, like make layers fairly quickly. Agar-agar powder might not be well known, or very popular in the US, but you can find it fairly easy at your local Asian grocery store, or even online at Amazon. If you love coffee, then try this.
