Eating and Shopping in Bangkok
OK, so this is my last video of my trip to Bangkok. My grandfather passed away and I had to make an emergency trip to Bangkok on Christmas morning. It was both sad and joyous for me. This trip was full of ups, downs, and mixed emotions.
Sad because I lost an important part of my life, my grandfather. He was a "larger than life" person and perhaps the only real male role model I had growing up. My father passed away when I was very young, and my grand parents took me in and raised me all of my life. My grandfather was my role model and hero and I will have him in my thoughts every single day for the rest of my life.
Joyous because I got to spend five full weeks with my family. My mom was there, my aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. I spent a lot of time at home with my grandfather, but I also had an opportunity to share time with my extended family. This video is of me and my cousin making a trip to Bangkok so that she and her husband could buy some cloths at wholesale and be able to resale them in our home town at markets, fairs, and other events. My cousin and her husband have been doing this for several years and have been fairly successful at it. Of course, there was plenty of food options.
My next videos will be my cooking and recipe videos.
